"The Making of Team USA *II"
AUGUST 1st, 1992 - ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA, USA

(*) Although this was the first IKF Sanctioned Event, it was not Steve Fossum's First Promoted event.
In regards to this event Title, Fossum's first "The Making Of Team USA" Event was Sanctioned by the WKA.


  1. FIRST EVER IKF FIGHT
    John Hahn (Sacramento, California, USA, 1-0, 165, Nasser Niavaroni) defeated David Griffiths (Fairfield, California, USA, 0-1, 167, Dan Stell) by unanimous decision, 30-26, 29-27, 30-27
    John Hahn was the first IKF winner.

  2. Mike Kollin (Fairfield, California, USA, 1-0, 166, Jacob Duran) defeated Ethan Nutter (Sacramento, California, USA, 0-1, 171, Nasser Niavaroni) by unanimous decision, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.

  3. Mark Bernier (Sacramento, California, USA, 2-0, 168) defeated Tony Gunn (Concord, California, USA, 0-1, 171) by TKO in round 1.
    Mark Bernier scored the first win by TKO in IKF History.

  4. John Parker (Fairfield, California, USA, 2-0, 143, Jacob Duran) defeated Percey Alexander (Redding, California, USA, 0-1, 141, Dan Verdugo) by KO at 1:58 of round 1
    Parker scored the first win by KO. One of the most devastating knockouts EVER!
    Alexander was "OUT", flat on his back!




  5. THE FIRST IKF TITLE BOUT
    FOR THE VACANT IKF FCR UNITED STATES CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE
    Jim Brown
    (Sacramento, California, USA, 3-0, 187, Dan Stell) defeated Ken Morgan (Long Beach, California, USA, 3-1, 178, ) by TKO at :56 seconds of round 3.
    Jim Brown becomes the very first IKF title holder. Brown later retired for a career as a bodyguard with a 3-1 record with 3 KO's.
    • ADDITION 1995: During his career Brown's only defeat came from a last round knockout by Boyd Murphy in Tahoe Nevada. Brown was winning the fight on all 3 cards, then came the Punch out of NOWHERE! Brown was down and OUT! The bout was booked on the undercard of a co-sanctioned bout with PKC and WKA and was live on PPV. It featured Alexio vs Russell, Roufus Vs McDonald and Torres Vs Angat. With these 2 top Amateurs fighting, it should have been a title, but somehow it wasn't.

    FOR THE VACANT IKF FCR UNITED STATES LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
    Andy Sanchez
    (Fairfield, California, USA, 174, Jacob Duran) defeated a highly favored Nathan Patterson (Auburn, California, USA, 178, Dan Stell) by TKO at 1:25 of round 3.

October 16th, 1992 - Honololu Hawaii, USA

Ramona "EAGLE" Gatto
of San Jose, CA, USA (25-1, Al Lagardo) won the IKF Woman's Pro International Rules World Featherweight Title to become the first
IKF Woman's Champion, the first IKF PRO Champion and the first IKF World Champion
when she KO'ed Debbie Page of Albq, New Mexico, USA. The bout was Honololu Hawaii, USA on October 16th, 1992.
